How committed are you to building a successful network marketing business?
Recently, news broke that Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kris Humphries after just 72 days of marriage.
I\’m not in the Kim Kardashian inner circle, so I only know information her branding machine spins for the public.
But the Kardashian/Humphries divorce does afford us a good opportunity to talk about commitment. Now, if you\’ve spent any time around network marketing business at all, you\’ve no doubt heard that on average, 97 percent of network marketing business companies go under within the first 90 days.
Now, if you\’ve got a good upline helping you out in the early days, they will encourage you to take some sort of action consistently for the first three months that you are in business – and make sure that you do it.
It\’s not easy.
But it does take, on average, three months of consistent effort for a network marketing business company to gain traction, which is why your good mentors will keep on you in the beginning.
The Kardashian-Humphries marriage/divorce raises another question that parallels nicely with the business of building a business, and it has to do with motivation.
My mentor, Rob Fore, often speaks about having a big enough \”why\” before you start your own network marketing business business.
I think he stresses this because a big \”why\” will help see you through the roller coaster ride that is network marketing business.
Here are just a few of the reasons why people go into network marketing business:
They seek greater financial freedom
They want more control over how they spend their time
They appreciate the huge potential to make money online
They are struggling to pay their bills, are facing foreclosure, or can\’t find a job
among many others.
You might find your \”why\” for network marketing business in that list. Then again, your reasons may be completely different.
That\’s not the point.
Obviously, what motivates one person is different for the next guy.
What does matter is that the \”why\” be big enough for you. After all, when you decide to become a network marketing business professional, you\’re the only one you ultimately have to answer to.
But it does help to surround yourself with a support system of other network marketing business pros and a strong and generous upline.
Because sometimes? No matter what your reasons, if you don\’t have others around to support, encourage, and challenge you, there\’s a good chance that you won\’t make it.
Because network marketing is, at its very nature, all about your network. If you don\’t have a network, you don\’t have a company.
I hope good things come out of Kim and Kris\’ relationship.
I also hope that their (very public) coming together and breaking apart will serve to not trivialize the role of commitment in our lives, but instead reinforce just how important it is to enter into a commitment for all the right reasons, with a big enough why to sustain you, and a community of supporters behind you.
Just how committed are you to building a strong and successful network marketing business business? And why? Do you have a solid support team behind you to help you stick to that commitment, no matter what?
