There comes a time in every writer on sales’s life where they must address the thorny question of “what makes a great salesperson?”. Now is my time.

This is a very challenging question to answer. We’re all biased and see the world through the lens of our own experience. No one persons view can ever compare to a rigorous scientific trial or experiment. But it certainly can add flavour and depth. Especially in a field where there haven’t been to many rigorous studies performed.

I’ve worked with salespeople from over 20 different countries – so at least my observations are based on a broad and diverse sample.

So here is my list of the top 4 characteristics of great salespeople.

1. Passion. It’s a characteristic that’s been highlighted many times before, but which is nonetheless vital. My experience has been that the fundamental characteristic all great salespeople share is an absolute belief and passion in the product or service they are selling. That passion infects customers and makes a major difference in the trust they place in the salesperson.

It’s sometimes joked that if you can fake sincerity you’ve got it made. But I’ve found that almost no one can fake real passion for what they sell. Somehow, some way, customers just pick up on it. What do you do if you’re not passionate about your products? Either get passionate (talking to customer about how they benefit from your product is a good start), get another product you can be passionate about, or get out of sales.

2. Likeability. Being liked is the foundation of being trusted. Its how relationships start.

Now it is possible to trust someone without liking them. But in the world of sales, someone who isn’t likeable never gets the opportunity to prove their trustworthiness. It’s a basic pre-requisite to building relationships.

3. Resilience. Rejection is endemic to sales. It’s something every salesperson faces almost day in, day out. So if you need everyone to love you, sales is probably not the career for you.

4. Willingness and Energy to Learn. The pace of change and the need to continually adapt and improve approaches has never been as great as it is today. The salesperson who commits to continuous learning, and applies themselves wholeheartedly will soon catch up and outpace more talented rivals who rest on their laurels.

So if you can get good at these 4 areas, you can be a great success in sales.

Let me reveal three queries with you which will certainly guide you "Find Your Why".

Let me reveal three queries with you which will certainly guide you “Find Your Why”.

1. If perhaps you did not need to worry in regards to your money or perhaps heading to your own work on Monday morning, therefore what will you definitely do?

2. In case you have so much cash which you got to give it away, what will you do with that? Who would you give it to and why?

3. Do you appreciate your life? If so, why? In the event not really, then why not? Keep in mind, your own history won’t manipulate you! Your future should move you, simply because you find your self productive!

After you create your “Why” and set your own objectives and goals, you will encounter limitations as well as challenges similar to that small bird that struck that huge building. In the event your “Why” is solid enough, then as opposed to that building you can stay secure towards whatsoever tries to avoid you from attaining that goal. You could not and never get knocked down!

Recall and keep in mind, targets are generally harmful if you never have a foundational “Why” in place. I challenge you now to ask yourself these three questions, cultivate your “Why” and then set your own targets.

Create the vision as well as try to make this simple on tablets that he could run who reads it. With regard to the vision is however for an appointed period but at the end it will certainly not lie.

An individual will need to take my challenge and write a WHY card!

This specific stage will absolutely persuade your own life. I would definitely love to see and examine your WHY card so feel free to email it to me John@ChampionsLiveFree.com.

With the negative effects that medication for stress can bring to your body, most stressed people resort to natural ways or techniques for relieving stress. For professionals who always got most of their time occupied, learning techniques for stress management is almost impossible, because learning some of the stress relief techniques can take time in order for them to master and effectively relieve your stress.

Here\’s one stress management tool that is very suitable for your situation. This stress management tool does not require a lot of time in order for you to master and feel its effectiveness, and I think you\’ve already used this technique before from time to time, but you just haven\’t thought of it to be a great help for relieving stress. This technique is by listening to music. Sometimes, if we are sad, we tend to listen to music that can make us happy. Or if we get angry, we listen to relaxing music in order to calm down our temper, or we tend to go inside our room and listen to loud music in order to let other people know how we feel.

Just by listening to music, we can set our mood. There are people who want to listen to loud music, like rock music, when they feel angry. There are those who listen to jazz music instead in order to be relaxed. But mostly, people listen to love songs when they are in love, and listen to sentimental music when they feel emotional. With these examples, we can see how music can really affect our mood. So if you feel angry, try to listen to smooth music in order to alleviate your anger or stress and prevent it from getting worse.

For people who have the time to practice any relaxation techniques, such as yoga, self-hypnosis, meditation, or guided imagery music can help you get into the zone. During your exercise session or just simply a jog at the park, music can make you feel energized and take your mind off the things that is stressing you.

Using music as a stress management tool can be very effective, and there\’s no need for you to spend much of your time to learn and master it to feel its effectiveness. You can use it anytime and anywhere of your everyday life without bothering the activities that you are doing. You can use music to relieve your stress while you\’re driving, walking, biking, riding a train, bus, boat, plane, or even while you are working. Using music as a stress management tool is very convenient and easy.

There are many websites that provide motivational articles to be used by university or college students. Education beyond high school can be challenging and can also bring about distractions, such as worries about money and also the need to have social interactions that may not be the same as in high school. These articles are available to students in order to increase motivation so that they are more likely to remain in school and reach their goals of obtaining a degree that will help in the job market.

A search online will show many motivational articles for students, particularly for those studying at the university or college level. You will often find articles that offer 10 steps for self motivation that will result in a better performance at school. These articles have come about in response to the pressures that occur when someone graduates high school and enters post secondary schooling. There are many distractions and challenges that can lead to a loss of morale and often dropping out of school altogether.

Some articles on motivation that are always present are those that offer suggestions on how to attain and maintain satisfactory marks. These kinds of stories actually concentrate on the need for being a success in school and what benefits are offered to those who study hard and perform well in a post secondary institution. Self motivation tools generally consist of strategies to maximize study time and make it more efficient, to ensure that you learn more but spend less time studying. More helpful hints and strategies abound for enhancing your ability to learn.

Stories about student motivation often cover other aspects that don\’t relate specifically to grades. Interacting socially and taking full advantage of your years at school are other motivational strategies that are often mentioned. Despite the fact that this might seem less critical than grades, lately it\’s in fact become just as, if not more significant than getting high marks on tests. The ability to network and build connections is highly valuable in the contemporary corporate world, and therefore many articles will point out these factors as they provide you with ideas on ways to to make the most of your time with other people at school.

University and college students are now able to make their own decisions about what courses to take and in general have a lot of freedom in how they spend their time, but there is also the financial burden built into higher education. Many students finish college with a high debt load, yet it can be reduced by reading motivational articles online that can provide information on how to manage a limited income while studying. Some students will have the necessary skills but those without can also learn how to build up their own abilities in order to manage their money. Simple solutions include ways to bring down your debt while saving a few dollars on a daily basis, just by watching your bank account and thinking before you purchase something.

The importance of researching these motivational articles can\’t be overemphasized. Students who find ways to keep their grades high, enjoy their time in college, and reduce their financial concerns have developed the ability to manage their young lives. Good motivation skills can be developed and thus students reach their goals of education and are ready to join the work force with a good work ethic, which has been learned by working towards motivating themselves.

Self motivation can be used in every aspect of your life. Most people make resolutions all of the time regarding losing weight, lowering their cholesterol or simply exercising more. Whether you\’re interested in finding the motivation to lose weight or to do better at work, you can learn more at our site on Self Motivation.

Many people mistakenly believe that they cannot change their lives. They are stuck in a dead-end job that does not provide any enjoyment or their lives seem to be permanently on pause. It does not have to be that way though.

Always remember that nothing is impossible. Just keep that in mind when you start setting your objectives and following life tips to achieving what you want.

Personal development coaching occurs in steps. Step one is to analyze your current living situation. No, this is not referring to where you live or with whom you cohabitate.

It is about taking a good, long look at your life. Are you happy with your workplace? Are you happy with your personal relationships? This is about taking an inventory or stock of your life and recognizing in what areas helpful, leadership mentoring could make a difference.

The second step involves telling your coach consultant what your goals are. He or she cannot tell you what you should aim for, that is your job to let them know what it is you want out of life. Just remember to set reasonable goals. You may want to conquer a fear of heights or learn how to make the most out of relationships. It is okay to set a series of small goals rather than one large goal.

Step four is the final part of the plan. It is now time to start implementing the changes that you will need to make in order to succeed and make your end objectives a reality.

Personal development coaching comes full circle and you can finally see how you really want things to be. Your coach will prove to be a valuable asset in this learning process and can provide you with the appropriate motivation in order to see things through to completion. Good luck on your journey!

To grow spiritually in a world defined by power, money, and influence is a Herculean task. Modern conveniences such as electronic equipments, gadgets, and tools as well as entertainment through television, magazines, and the web have predisposed us to confine our attention mostly to physical needs and wants. As a result, our concepts of self-worth and self-meaning are muddled. How can we strike a balance between the material and spiritual aspects of our lives?

To grow spiritually is to look inward.

Introspection goes beyond recalling the things that happened in a day, week, or month. You need to look closely and reflect on your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and motivations. Periodically examining your experiences, the decisions you make, the relationships you have, and the things you engage in provide useful insights on your life goals, on the good traits you must sustain and the bad traits you have to discard. Moreover, it gives you clues on how to act, react, and conduct yourself in the midst of any situation. Like any skill, introspection can be learned; all it takes is the courage and willingness to seek the truths that lie within you. Here are some pointers when you introspect: be objective, be forgiving of yourself, and focus on your areas for improvement.

To grow spiritually is to develop your potentials.

Religion and science have differing views on matters of the human spirit. Religion views people as spiritual beings temporarily living on Earth, while science views the spirit as just one dimension of an individual. Mastery of the self is a recurring theme in both Christian (Western) and Islamic (Eastern) teachings. The needs of the body are recognized but placed under the needs of the spirit. Beliefs, values, morality, rules, experiences, and good works provide the blueprint to ensure the growth of the spiritual being. In Psychology, realizing one’s full potential is to self-actualize. Maslow identified several human needs: physiological, security, belongingness, esteem, cognitive, aesthetic, self-actualization, and self-transcendence. James earlier categorized these needs into three: material, emotional, and spiritual. When you have satisfied the basic physiological and emotional needs, spiritual or existential needs come next. Achieving each need leads to the total development of the individual. Perhaps the difference between these two religions and psychology is the end of self-development: Christianity and Islam see that self-development is a means toward serving God, while psychology view that self-development is an end by itself.

To grow spiritually is to search for meaning.

Religions that believe in the existence of God such as Christianism, Judaism, and Islam suppose that the purpose of the human life is to serve the Creator of all things. Several theories in psychology propose that we ultimately give meaning to our lives. Whether we believe that life’s meaning is pre-determined or self-directed, to grow in spirit is to realize that we do not merely exist. We do not know the meaning of our lives at birth; but we gain knowledge and wisdom from our interactions with people and from our actions and reactions to the situations we are in. As we discover this meaning, there are certain beliefs and values that we reject and affirm. Our lives have purpose. This purpose puts all our physical, emotional, and intellectual potentials into use; sustains us during trying times; and gives us something to look forward to—a goal to achieve, a destination to reach. A person without purpose or meaning is like a drifting ship at sea.

To grow spiritually is to recognize interconnections.

Religions stress the concept of our relatedness to all creation, live and inanimate. Thus we call other people “brothers and sisters” even if there are no direct blood relations. Moreover, deity-centered religions such as Christianity and Islam speak of the relationship between humans and a higher being. On the other hand, science expounds on our link to other living things through the evolution theory. This relatedness is clearly seen in the concept of ecology, the interaction between living and non-living things. In psychology, connectedness is a characteristic of self-transcendence, the highest human need according to Maslow. Recognizing your connection to all things makes you more humble and respectful of people, animals, plants, and things in nature. It makes you appreciate everything around you. It moves you to go beyond your comfort zone and reach out to other people, and become stewards of all other things around you.

Growth is a process thus to grow in spirit is a day-to-day encounter. We win some, we lose some, but the important thing is that we learn, and from this knowledge, further spiritual growth is made possible.

by Aazdak Alisimo

As we accumulate things in our life, we seem to grow more disenchanted. This has become so true that previously scoffed at Eastern Philopophies are getting another look in the West and no more so than Feng Shui.

Many people think of the mystical when Feng Shui is mentioned, but this traditional Chinese philosophy is more about creating a good living space for each of us. The basic belief is we need a harmonious place to just be and Feng Shui shows us how to make it.

At its outset, Feng Shui was actually known as Kan You, which mean the Laws of Heaven and Earth. As it evolved into the name Feng Shui, pronounced fung shway, it became more about placement of things and harmony with the environment.

Feng Shui proper wasn’t a philosophy, it was a way of life in ancient China. It was considered a form of astronomy and entire cities were laid out based on astronomical forecasts. Politics were also based upon these readings.

Feng Shui was no passing trend in China either. At its most dominant, it was the guiding light of Chinese civilization for between 2,000 and 3,000 years. The fact that entire cities were organized upon it is truly amazing to think about.

In modern times, the influence of the philosophy is a shadow of its former self. One has to wonder if this is a good thing given the urban sprawl we see in many countries and the overall strife and unhappiness in the world.

In truth, modern Feng Shui has gone local. The largest applications are no longer cities, but individual projects where the purchase of land and building upon it are determined using the philosophy.

On a person level, Feng Shui can be implemented in and around your personal spaces at home and work to create harmony with the immediate environment. This, in turn, creates positive energy which attracts harmony in the rest of your life as well.

The truly bizarre thing is the philosophy is current barred in China. The versions we interface with are the Black Sect in the USA and Shen Dao Feng Shui in England. The schools have different views, but not harshly so.

So, is Feng Shui a passing fringe trend or something more? Given the fact it has existed longer than Christianity and makes the Chinese Communist Government nervous enough to ban it, it would seem to be here to stay.

One of the best ways to deal with a panic attack and one that is actually underestimated stands in your own mental power.

Many times, when you are on the verge of a panic attack, just by telling yourself positive affirmations, although you might not believe in them first, can make a huge difference in the way panic attack evolves. The words that you use are not that critical as long you can focus on them and take your focus off the panic attack itself.

It is recommended that you use positive phrases, for example things like: ” Everything is OK in just a second” or “It’s going away, I feel much better!”.

Most individuals will give in and will start thinking about panic attacks and the possibility of getting one for long periods of time. Such a fact alone can make the episodes worse and it is very important to take your mind off everything as much as possible.

Breathing techniques are excellent to solve panic attacks, but not everyone can master them immediately so telling yourself positive affirmations is a great way that can be very efficient when you are learning other ways to deal with panic attacks or when you just need to do something to solve the situation.

There are of course different other ways to treat panic attacks, like Yoga, but why make things more complicated when the problem can be solved on the spot just by having a dialogue in your brain, between you and yourself!

One way that did work in several cases of panic attack patients is to purchase medication for the condition. As you start feeling that the panic attack is coming you can start focusing on the pills.

One should start thinking whether to take them or not and also find pro’s and con’s of this situation. This helps to move the focus away from the panic attack to the issue whether to take drugs or not and this focus shift alone can be very beneficial in cancelling the panic attack altogether. You should always congratulate yourself after not taking the pills.

It is not easy to think about positive phrases or even thoughts during a panic attack and coping with this situation is hard although it can be eliminated in a lot of cases with simple interior monologues. It takes practise, but it’s worth it!

This might not work the first or even the second time, but having said that, you will see that positive thinking and affirmations are very useful when you are coping with panic attacks.
